COUSIN® PARTNER – A look back at Grimpday Geneva 2025


Last June, Geneva hosted the 19th edition of Grimpday, a prestigious international gathering of teams specialising in rope rescue from several countries. The event, which took place from 4 to 7 June 2025, brought together 32 teams of 21 nationalities in a series of 13 highly demanding events combining technique, endurance, height and precision.

Among the competitors was TEAM 76, a team of firefighters from Rouen, who had already distinguished themselves the previous year by finishing in 5th place. One of the key elements of their success lies in their equipment, particularly the COUSIN® safety ropes that we supply to them as a technical partner. These ropes made all the difference in the various high-altitude rescue events — abseiling, evacuation from complex structures, vertical access manoeuvres — where reliability, strength and manoeuvrability are essential.

Grimpday Geneva 2025 will leave lasting memories: an impressive show, an international sharing of rescue techniques, and TEAM 76 which, thanks to a successful partnership, proved that it is among the best, while remaining humbly close to the podium.

The 20th edition of Grimpday will take place in Namur, Belgium, in June 2026. It promises to be an exceptional anniversary year. We will be there.
